Diamonds In The Making

Last week on the way to work several times I heard these words playing on KLove….Oh the joy of the Lord, it will be my strength when the pressure is on He’s making diamonds out of us. Then as I sat reading in the Bible Wednesday morning I was thinking about the woman at the well, as I looked up and saw the painting that a dear friend and sister gave me last year. God knows what we need and when we need it. And at that time I was at a point in my life that was not pleasing to God and He had been dealing with me as my flesh and spirit were at war. That picture was assigned to me and when she gave it to me she had no idea but God did. He used her to steer me back into the direction that I needed to go. All I could think about was that out of everything that I was reaching for; I just needed him because only He can provide that living water I so desperately needed. I had stopped pursuing Him so He was pursuing me as He wanted me to step out and become the woman of God that He had created me to be. There was a purpose and a plan for my life and He had used a loving soul to get my attention.

******John 4:1-42

******Romans 11:29 – for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

You see the year before I was asked to join Emerge Ministry and I was going to, but I was side-tracked by a relationship. I allowed this relationship to pull me away from God and there was such a spiritual battle within me and the relationship. I know now that God had a plan to use me in this ministry and satan didn’t want it to happen. Each member of a family has an important part to play in that family. And when a diversified body of believers come together, of course satan is going to try to bust it up. Satan didn’t want me to join up with a body of believers that encourage and support one another. With an encouraging family behind me; satan knew I would be able to step out of my comfort zone and do what God was calling me to do which is share the Word of God with you.

As we pursue God we will be faced with trials and tribulations but as we focus on Him we will overcome as we are diamonds in the making. We can’t be polished without friction. And as I drove along to work the other morning in the rain, God reminded me that we have to have the rain in our lives in order for us to grow. It’s in those battles that we find strength, while keeping our faith we move forward. Perseverance is key. If we lose our focus and get side-tracked; God will pursue us and send people our way to guide us back to Him. However the choose ultimately is ours for we have free will. Just know that life without God is death and with God it is life!

As I look at my brothers and sisters of Emerge, I see an amazing family full of life and love. We are a diversified body but we are a unified family. We are whole and with the love of God in our hearts we choose to stand by one another. The devil wants to divide and conquer that is why he tries to bust things up. If he can destroy the unity of the family he can do great damage.

******John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Someone out there is depending on us to walk in the calling that God has placed on us. Our obedience to God has an effect on someone else’s destiny. If my friend had not given me that painting; I may have never felt convicted. And If I had of ignored God dealing with me; I never would have joined Emerge and wouldn’t be writing for God and quite possibly wouldn’t be alive today.

Keep on keeping on with God as you step out in faith, trusting God and walking in that calling He has on your life and continue being polished as He is making diamonds out of us!

John 10:3 –To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

To God Be All the Glory & Honor Forever! Amen!
