Outpouring of Love

God continues to move and shower His love not only within the Emerge family; but onto those that our ministry family comes into contact with. Recently someone made a statement that I get to go on trips traveling with Emerge as if these are vacations. Ministry is more than just fun and games and a vacation trip. Although we do some traveling and we have fun together; it is work for our Father and work is what we do. There is a cost to being in the ministry. But a cost that is so worth it all as each of us within Emerge have our own way that we contribute to the ministry. We contribute time, talents, and often give up other things such as a day at the beach, a birthday party, a day of riding motorcycles, or perhaps just a lazy day of watching movies and resting. But as I said it is so worth it all to see the hand of God move; changing lives forever more.

What most don’t realize is the many hours of dedication and hard work that is put in before that bus ever moves, after we reach our destination, and on the return. Planning, preparation and maintenance are a must just as you take care of your household; it has to be done in ministry too. Some put in more hours than others; but in the end we all have a part to play in doing the work of our Father. Even with writing this blog; it takes time but to help bring the Word to even just one hurting lost soul is worth every second. It takes unity and dedication of the “Many Voices, with One Vision for His Plan” to share the love of God as He has called us to do.

*****Mark 16:15 (NIV) He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

On April 22nd our Emerge family boarded the bus, cars, trucks, etc. around 7 am and headed to Fayetteville, NC. This was a huge day for God at the City Wide Crusade. We partnered with Bryann Trejo of Kingdom Music to deliver a message of love to that city with approximately 1,000 people in attendance. Our Emerge voices and the local Fayetteville voices that volunteered, worked extremely hard as we feed approximately 900 people and distributed water, hygiene & household items, and food to the families.

*****Colossians 3:23 (ESV) Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.

Fun was had by everyone in attendance with John Dorsey as our MC, Bryann T., Robert Robinson and Emerge Live ministering through song and word. God moved that day as they ministered. Kids and adults had such smiles on their faces as they danced, played and sang along. Not only were their belly’s fed but they souls were fed that day. Kids walked away with new bikes, bubbles, T-shirts, and stuffed animals but the most important thing that was given that day was living water! As the day started to wind down; the spirit of God moved mightily with 83 people responding to the love of Jesus.

God is awesome! He orchestrates each and every step of every event that He be glorified, not man. We are the voice, hands and feet that He chose to use; but our Father in Heaven gives living water freely to those who ask. He uses our voices to speak His word, our hands to hold, hug, touch and work; but He uses our feet to walk on the lands that He so chooses to send us. This particular day in Fayetteville when these precious 83 souls responded to His outpouring of love I know the Angels in Heaven were rejoicing just as we were. Hallelujah!!

*****Matthew 5:16 (ESV) In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in Heaven.

To God Be All the Glory & Honor Forever! Amen!!
